We are seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to lead the transformation of a large-scale legacy application into a modern, scalable, event-driven platform. This role requires deep expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and modern software architecture practices, with a strong focus on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Development (EDD), cloud-native solutions, and application modernization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can analyze complex legacy systems, design modern architectures, optimize database performance, and drive development initiatives independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

-8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Microsoft technologies.
-Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity.
-Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture principles, and distributed systems concepts.
-Experience working with legacy .NET Framework applications and modernization initiatives.
-Solid understanding and practical application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
-Hands-on experience implementing Event-Driven Architecture and asynchronous messaging solutions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including:
-Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
-Stored procedures
-Query optimization
-Performance tuning
-Indexing strategies
-Database design
Experience with AWS cloud services, including:
-Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS)
-Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
-Amazon Event Bridge
-AWS Lambda, Step Functions
-Experience working with message brokers, service brokers, or enterprise messaging platforms.

Nice to have

-Experience modernizing monolithic applications into service-oriented or event-driven architecture.
-Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
-Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
-Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and serverless architectures.
-Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and logging solutions.
-Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation practices.
-Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
